Who am I? My name is Christopher Hengefeld. In 2021, I made a personal decision to move to Colombia. Together with my Colombian girlfriend, we bought a finca in the mountains outside Cali. The previous employed relationship has now developed into self-employment. I speak German, English and Spanish fluently.

I work there under a Colombian tax number, as I am in Colombia for longer than 6 months (usually 10-11 months).

Willkana comes from the Andean language Quechua and can be interpreted in many ways. In lived spirituality, it can be described as change and growth.

What do I do? I present my work on this website. The database management programs in PHP/MySQL can be tested. I also present design and CNC machining tasks here. Current projects, their project management and planning (from idea to realization) are also presented here.

My curriculum vitae: After school, I trained as a model making mechanic and then studied mechanical engineering at Aachen University of Applied Sciences, specializing in development, Bachelor (2.3) and Master (2.1).

My professional career: I started out as a journeyman in model body construction and worked as a student trainee at Siemens in the field of industrial and wind power gearboxes during my studies. Then 5 years of permanent employment at ZF Friedrichshafen AG as a development engineer. I resigned due to the closure of the Dortmund site. I designed with PTC Creo. Thanks to the purchase of a CNC milling machine and the associated experience, any design (wood/plastic/aluminum) can be implemented independently.

At my next employer, TUM Raesfeld, I worked for 3 years as a calculation engineer and IT & software service in the engineering office for civil engineering.

My official employment ended when I moved to Colombia. I have spent the last 2.5 years mainly renovating the finca and setting up a small business for the production of organic herbs and fertilizers. During this time, I also carried out smaller tasks for TuM Raesfeld and IWK mbh in Bocholt in the areas of software development, database management (Access/MySQL) and general technical calculations.
